Filming in the remote desert location is often difficult with amenities, housing and access to editing being far away or completely unavailable. The ranch provides diverse scenic locations combined with comfort and convenience.
A WIDE RANGE OF CHOICES
With 197,000 acres of rugged BLM land and 160 acres of privately owned land, the ranch has locations for western, sci-fi, horror, and more... Horses, cattle, cowboys, wagons, rustic buildings, and two arenas with wooden bleachers, eerie mesquite trees, Joshua trees, yucca, cactus of all types.
There are also acres of dry lake with wind-formed sand sculptures, sand dunes, beautiful purple mountains (snow capped in winter) including an 8,000 ft. peak, lots of desert, rugged roads, and dirt roads. Most locations are 10-30 minutes from the Ranch House.
EASY ACCESS
Located on the border of California and Nevada, the Ranch is just 45 minutes from Las Vegas' McCarran Airport and 3½ to 4 hours from Los Angeles. The ranch has its own 3,200 ft paved, lighted airstrip which will accommodate planes up to small jets.
CONVENIENT FACILITIES
The Ranch House provides a large restaurant and meeting facilities, plus we can cater to your crew wherever they are on location. We also provide locked equipment storage and deluxe star/director accommodations in a private guest house. Crew housing is available just 25 minutes away at two large hotel/casinos.
EXPERIENCED STAFF
We provide assistance in permitting in both Nevada and California, and our staff is experienced with film crews and eager to help.
